AMMAN: The Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum signed a cooperation agreement with the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday to boost trade.

Under the agreement, the two sides will hold joint meetings to explore business opportunities, exchange knowledge on commerce, investment laws, and policies issued by relevant authorities, and organize training programs.

The agreement also outlines the establishment of a virtual economic portal to increase the exposure of Tunisian products in the Jordanian market and vice versa.

Mohammed Ali Belhabib, chargé d’affaires of the Tunisian ambassador, emphasized the need for networking between businessmen in Jordan and Tunisia in order to boost trade between the two countries.

Belhabib added that Tunisia’s trade agreement with the African Union opens possibilities for importing and exporting to the African market.

The official also announced that the two sides will organize a Jordanian-Tunisian economic forum.
